The 5th COMFWB Trade Fair and Business Conference in Madagascar : A successful economic event, in honor of talent and courage, determination of women's know-how, women leadership in the field of entrepreneurship

The 5th COMFWB Trade Fair and Business Conference was a successful event held in Antananarivo, Madagascar on June 28th and 29th, 2024. The event was attended by over 170 delegates from 25 countries, including 21 COMESA member states. The event featured more than 140 women-owned businesses showcasing their products and services, and attracted over 5,000 visitors. The conference also featured presentations from over 60 international experts and was attended by over 1,600 people. The event was a success, and the next COMFWB Trade Fair will be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2025.

Who Are We

The Comesa Federation of Women in Business (COMFWB) is a COMESA institution which was established in July 1993 in Zimbabwe with the endorsement of the Authority which is made up of Heads of States and Governments of the COMESA member states.

COMFWB acts as a forum for the exchange of ideas and experience among women entrepreneurs; an instrument through which the appropriate portion of COMESA Women in Development Programmes are implemented; a forum for network among women entrepreneurs and an instrument for encouraging women to set up or expand existing enterprises.”
