The Regional Enterprise Competitiveness and Access to Markets programme (RECAMP) is about boosting participation of the private sector in regional and global value chains. The programme does this through the improvement of the investment and business climate and enhanced competitiveness in the COMESA region.
The COMFWB Rwanda Chapter convened a 3-day training at Galaxy Hotel, Kigali Rwanda. The workshop was attended by 22 women in the following business areas: Agriculture, arts-crafts and Leather products, Horticulture for Services industry and General trade of processed food commodities.
The approach used in this training was based on Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle model. The training was highly participatory where facilitators highlighted main points in each module and giving opportunities to the participants to link the concepts with their experience. The participants were trained on Internationalization of the Companies and on access to finance.
It’s been great learning to make effort as women in business for better futures of our businesses. I’ve learn how to engage markets within COMESA as well as collaborate with other women entreprenuers. - Ange Belise Utamuriza, Participant

International Women's Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. This year's theme was titled #BreakTheBias. Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
