Signature of a MoU between KIRDI and COMFWB Seychelles : a milestone for the future of Female Entrepreneurship in Seychelles

Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute (KIRDI) and COMESA Federation For Women in Business, COMFWB Seychelles Chapter

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently signed between (KIRDI) Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute represented by the KIRDI Director General Dr Ing Calvin Onyango and the COMFWB Seychelles chapter lead by Mrs Claudette Albert.


KIRDI has an established infrastructure to support start-ups and progressive MSMEs. The Institute runs capacity building activities for individuals, groups and enterprises and has special experience with activities for women-led enterprises of any age and implemented the Business Incubators for African Women Entrepreneurs, targeting the Common Market for East and Southern Africa (COMESA) Region.


The CEO of COMFWB Mr. Miti Chikakula congratulated the COMFWB Seychelles Chapter for advancing the development of the business incubation centre which will support the capacity building of the entrepreneurs. And the CEO of CEPS, the Citizens Engagement Platform, one of COMFWB Seychelles’ strategic partners also attended this ceremony.


This MOU represents a milestone for the future of Entrepreneurship in Seychelles especially female entrepreneurship. This signing will pave the way for the setting up of Seychelles first fully fledged Incubation Centre to support the Agriculture and fisheries value chains where, Women, youth and entrepreneurs will find support to scale up and standardise their products...
