Regional Integration in Action: The COMESA Secretary General's Trip to Malawi
Secretary General Chileshe Mpundu Kapwepwe paid a courtesy call on Malawi’s Minister of Finance Hon. Sosten Alfred Gwengwe at his office on Friday 5 May 2023. She used the occasion to urge Malawi to start utilizing the services of the COMESA Re-insurance company (ZEP-Re) in order to foster the regional integration agenda. The Secretary General later visited the COMESA Federation of Women in Business offices where she met with acting CEO Mr. Chikakula Miti whose team she applauded for their resolve in ensuring that Women managed businesses are progressing well in Member States as evidenced by the many products found in supermarkets operating in the different Member States.
