πŸ“£ Fashion entrepreneurship in Madagascar πŸ‡²πŸ‡¬ : a successfull training course with Groupement des Femmes Entrepreneurs de Madagascar officiel - GFEM, the COMFWB Madagascar Chapter !πŸ“£

Madagascar's fashion scene just got a boost! The GFEM, COMFWB Madagascar Chapter recently wrapped up a groundbreaking Fashion Entrepreneurship Training Course that left participants buzzing with creativity and confidence. Held from October 1st to 4th, 2024, the training was a masterclass in pattern making and business skills, empowering women to turn their passion for fashion into profitable ventures

Led by textile experts Stella MOORGHEN and Dr. Julie ABEL from the Academy of Design and Innovation of Mauritius, the training covered a wide range of topics, including pattern making, textile embellishment, and business management. With generous financial and technical support from the ITC/UKTP Madagascar program, represented by Mr. Tahiry RAJAONARIMANANA, the course attracted 20 aspiring fashion entrepreneurs, including both GFEM members and non-members.

Participants learned to create professional patterns for women's and children's clothing, explore innovative textile techniques, and develop effective branding and marketing strategies. Through hands-on exercises and mini-projects, they had the opportunity to apply their newfound knowledge and showcase their creativity.

The training has empowered participants to start or expand their own fashion businesses, contributing to the growth and development of Madagascar's fashion industry.And It provided participants with valuable skills to start or grow their own fashion businesses
