ETHIOPIA will host the 6th COMFWB Trade Fair and Business Conference for African Women Entrepreneurs

Addis- Abeba, Ethiopia – A meeting took place yesterday 30th September 2024, between the Ethiopian government and The Comesa Federation of Women in Business (COMFWB) to discuss preparations for the upcoming 6th COMFWB Trade Fair. The event, scheduled for May 2025 in Addis Ababa, is expected to be a major boost for Ethiopian women entrepreneurs, providing them with a platform to showcase their products and services to a Regional audience.
COMFWB_Team lead by the #CEO was received by the two Ethiopian Ministers H.E Ergogie Tesfaye, Minister of Women and Social Affairs and Ms Yasmin Wuharebi, the State Minister for Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration. They discussed the importance of the Trade Fair in promoting economic growth and empowering women entrepreneurs in the COMESA Region. The Ethiopian government will lead the organization committee in collaboration of EWEA, the COMFWB Ethiopia Chapter
COMFWB CEO, Mr Chikakula Miti expressed his excitement about the event and emphasized its potential to connect Ethiopian women entrepreneurs with new markets and business opportunities. With a population of over 110 million, Ethiopia offers a vast and untapped market for women-owned businesses
More than 500 women entrepreneurs from 21 COMESA member States are expected to participate in the Trade Fair, showcasing a wide range of products and services. The event will also feature a Business conference to provide participants with valuable insights and networking opportunities
