COMFWB AWARDS : To honor Women entrepreneurs from COMESA Region and recognize COMFWB Chapters efforts and achievements. A way to highlight excellence and motivate continued success
As part of the 5th COMFWB Trade Fair, COMFWB AWARD 2024 was organized last 28th and 29th June 2024 to recognize and honor Women entrepreneurs from COMESA Region or COMFWB Chapters efforts in various fields, and to acknowledge their achievements or contributions.They served as a way to highlight excellence and motivate continued success. COMFWB offered these AWARDS to makes their members feel that their work is valued. The Organization would like to show approval and gratitude for each person's goodjob, and to remind people that good work will be rewarded.
COMFWB AWARDS were special AWARDS organized annually by COMFWB along with annual Trade Fairs. The aim of the AWARD is to recognize the successful chapters women and youth entrepreneurs invarious categories. The Award run according to a carefully structured and independently audited process with participants from all over the COMESA Region being selected to compete for a Regional prize. The 5th COMFWB Award was held along with the 5th Trade Fair and Business Conference and Gala Dinner. The call for nomination of eligible candidates was advertised exhaustively on all social media pages. Request for nominations was sent to all Women National Associations or Chapters. Any Interested business owner was eligible to apply at their respective chapters.
Selection criterion were Entrepreneurial spirit,Financial Performance, Job creation capacity, Market access, Innovation/use of technology, Community/ Global impact,Personal integrity, Influence, Membership/nomination. Totally 34 nominations were received from 9 countries. Technical evaluation team containing 5 members was organized. As a result of the technical evaluation Awards were given for entrepreneurs and chapters in 5 categories. Certificate of recognition was also awarded to partners, sponsors, panelists, exhibitors, participants of the 5th COMFWB Trade Fair.
