A spotlight on the first annual COMFWB Northern Sub-Regional summit
The COMESA Federation of Women in Business (COMFWB) Tunisia Chapter, being the Chairperson of the COMFWB Northern Block, hosted the inaugural annual COMFWB Northern Sub-Regional Summit in Tunis, Tunisia. The event, which was held on 28th September 2022, brought together COMFWB Chapter representatives/chairpersons from Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia; as well as Chairpersons from the four other Sub-regions. The summit was an opportunity to review the major activities carried out by the national Chapters in the region(Libya, Egypt and Tunisia) and to reflect on the strategic priorities of the North African region for the coming years.
COMFWB - with the support of COMESA and its partners - gives support to SMEs led by women in each COMESA member country by providing them with better access to finance, and to information and by providing them with the necessary instruments for their growth, including access to digital platforms and new technologies. COMFWB also offers training and mentoring activities to improve the skills of women entrepreneurs and enable them to access regional and international markets.
