The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa Federation of National Associations of Women in Business (COMFWB) is a COMESA institution based in Lilongwe, Malawi. COMFWB was established by the COMESA Heads of States and Government in 1993 in pursuant of articles 154 and 155 of the COMESA Treaty, which recognize the role that women play in the economic and social transformation efforts of the region. The Treaty also recognizes the role of women in business especially their participation in Agriculture, Industry and Trade.
COMFWB is implementing its 2021-2025 Medium Term Strategic Plan (MTSP) which aims to achieve the following strategic goals: To Strengthen the Institutional Capacity; To Strengthen the Resource Mobilization Capacity; To Strengthen Development Programs for Women in Business; and to Enhance the Advocacy, Public Image, and Branding of COMFWB.
In order to actualize the set-out development objectives, COMFWB intends to recruit for the following positions and hereby requests applications for the position from

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Programmes Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
GRADE: General Services, Level 9 (GS9)

REPORTING TO: Programmes Director – COMFWB
A MAIN DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Director, and overall supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will perform the following duties:
Support new program start-up, in coordination with Programs Director;
Provides assistance in planning and implementation of programs and project initiatives;
Monitor and Evaluate status of programme/ Project proposals and Document lessons learned, success stories, and best practices for use in project improvement and knowledge sharing;
Prepare periodic M&E reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for internal and external stakeholders;
Support the preparation of training materials, workshops, and capacity-building sessions;
Backstop Various Project trainings;
Supervise and backstop COMFWB Liaison Officers in the Member States;
Provide support in drafting reports and participate in the preparation of budget and work programmes related to the functioning of the programmes Department;
Provide support in preparing Monitoring and Evaluation reports of the Unit’s work plans and Annual program budgets;
Prepare narrative reports;
Draft project proposals to Partners and assist in the implementation of those proposals once approved.
B MINIMUM ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Be a holder of at least a minimum of a BSc degree in Social Science or Business Administration, Finance, Natural Sciences, Economics, Project Management,
Management Information Systems and any other related field.
A Postgraduate qualification in any of the above fields as well as Training in Project Cycle Management, Results Based Management, Monitoring and Evaluation will
be an added advantage.
C PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of FIVE (5) years’ proven relevant experience in management of developmental programmes.
D COMPETENCES AND SKILLS

A-MAIN DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Regularly reconcile petty cash with internal records to ensure accuracy and proper documentation;
Maintain an up-to-date fixed asset register by recording acquisitions, disposals, and transfers;
Tag physical assets with identification numbers for tracking and inventory purposes.
Compile and verify supporting documents for payment requests;
Ensure all payment requests comply with organizational policies and procedures.
Support the Senior Finance & Administrative Assistant in processing payments to vendors and service providers;
Verify payment details and ensure timely disbursement;
Handle banking transactions, including deposits and withdrawals;
Organize and maintain a filing system for finance vouchers and administrative documents;
Ensure documents are easily accessible for audits and reviews;
Accurately enter financial data into the SUN accounting software;
Generate financial reports as required;
Manage COMFWB national Chapters membership subscriptions, including renewals and payments;
Prepare and submit VAT refund claims to the relevant authorities;
Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and timely follow-up on claims;
Perform Any Additional Duties Assigned by Supervisor.
B-MINIMUM ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or CPA II, Or ACCA.
C-PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum working experience of 5 years in the same capacity.
D-COMPETENCES AND SKILLS
Computer literate with significant experience in excel, accounting packages & Integra accounting system will be an added advantage.
The candidate should be mature, with a stable personality and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Hands on experience in sun accounting software will be an added advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and be well organized.
Strong communication skills.
Be adaptable and flexible with a view to taking on new tasks and new assignments in due course.

JOB TITLE: Driver/ Messenger
GRADE: General Services, Level 5 (GS5)
SALARY SCALE: COM$5,576 - COM$8,083 per annum

DUTY STATION: Lilongwe
REPORTING TO: Senior Finance and Administrative Assistant
A-MAIN DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides transportation planning, logistical support, and travel planning to staff as needed, including security considerations and coordination;
Drives COMFWB vehicle as assigned by the Executive Director and;
Drives assigned means of transport for the transport of authorized Clients, visitors, goods, messages, mail, etc.
Ensure insurance cover of assigned vehicle is valid;
Ensure timely servicing of the vehicle, as and when necessary;
Collects and delivers mail, documents, and other items from and to the Post Office/COMFWB/Else offices to various destinations as advised;
Receive and take visitors to and from the airport; assisting with immigration formalities and taking them to and fro their places of residence;
Takes care of the day-to-day maintenance of the COMFWB vehicles, i.e. checks oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.; performs minor repairs and arranges for other
repairs and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean;
Logs official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc;
Reads and understands specific vehicle/vessel operating manual to ensure the safe and appropriate operations of the vehicle;
Obeys traffic rules and road signs, liaises, and coordinates with local authorities to facilitate smooth running of vehicle/vessel movements;
Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in an accident;
Produces weekly records of mileage traveled;
Identifies any apparent problems and reports them to the appropriate personnel.
B-MINIMUM ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) preferably supplemented by technical knowledge in driving
C-PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years' experience as a driver for an international Organization
D-COMPETENCES AND SKILLS
Valid driving license and Certificate of good conduct.
Good knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair.
Excellent communication in English is required and good knowledge of the local language of the duty station is desirable.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
